What is Oud?
Imagine walking through a dense forest in Southeast Asia and coming across a tree called Aquilaria. This tree is quite special because when it gets infected with a certain type of mold, something extraordinary happens inside it.
To protect itself, the tree starts producing a dark, fragrant resin deep within its core. Over time, this resin seeps into the wood, saturating it with a rich, aromatic scent.
This special wood is what we call oud, or agarwood. It's highly prized for its unique fragrance, which is unlike anything else. Oud has been cherished for centuries, especially in regions like the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
